History

Urban Attic opened in the Fall of 2003 in Ames, Iowa for two essential reasons. The first was for the love of all things related to hip-hop culture and the second was to help bring the freshest styles to the masses without wearing their pockets thin. Urban Attic was born as an alternative to the ridiculous prices charged by many of the big name retailers.

Mission

Urban Attic is dedicated to three of the cornerstones of the urban lifestyle; fashion, music, and community. Fashion At Urban Attic you will find the hottest and newest fashions at your prices. Gone are the days of paying ridiculous retail prices or waiting until the season is over for clothes to go on sale. Music You will also find music from all over the country by artists who you may have never heard of before. We believe all good music deserves its chance to get heard by anyone willing to listen. Community Got a worthy cause you want to get the word out about? Interested in sharing information with the world? Want to see some of the money you spend go towards helping others? So does Urban Attic. If you are a member of one of our affiliated organizations part of the money you spend will go back to the designated charity. Name Your Price

-At Checkout At the checkout screen you will notice an extra column that says "Name Your Price". This column is designed for you to enter the price you want to pay for that particular item. After you enter in all of your information your order will be sent to Urban Attic for review. -"Name Your Price" Accepted If we believe that you have made a reasonable offer we will process your order and send you a confirmation email. -"Name Your Price" Not Accepted If we feel your offer is unreasonable we will notify you via email with a counter-offer. You will have 24 hours to reply to this counter-offer with one of two responses. Either you accept the counter-offer or you make us another offer. If your new offer is reasonable we will process your order with this new price, if we feel this offer is still unreasonable we will process your order at our counter-offer price. If you do not respond within 24 hours of counter-offer email being sent we will assume that the counter-offer price is acceptable. No matter what you will never pay retail price again! -Terms and Conditions Upon submittal of offer to Urban Attic you the customer has entered into an agreement to buy said merchandise from Urban Attic. You agree to pay at most our counter-offer price if your offer price is refused. If you decide to cancel transaction before shipment you will be charged a restocking fee not to exceed 15% of sale price. If you cancel after shipment you will be charged for all shipping and handling in addition to a restocking fee, not to exceed 15%.

Organization Affiliation

This is one of the ways that Urban Attic gives back to the community. If you are a member of one of our affiliated organizations 10% of your sale will go to the corresponding charity, and all you have to do is enter your organizations name when asked. We are always looking for new organizations to help out and the set-up process is quick and easy.

Orders

Urban Attic will try to fill your order to the best of our ability with the items that we have in stock. In the event that we can not fill your entire order we will ship to you the items from your order that we do have in stock. If an item becomes available within 30 days of Urban Attic receiving your order we will ship the remainder of your order at that time, unless otherwise notified. You will only be billed for the items that we ship and never be billed before an item has been shipped out.

Returns

In the event that you are not satisfied with your purchase you have up to 14 days from the date of receival to send your purchase back. Unless determined to be the fault of Urban Attic the customer will be responsible for all shipping costs. Items that are deemed to be unsellable will not be accepted as returns and will be sent back to the customer. All accepted returns will be charged a restocking fee not to exceed 15% before your purchase is refunded.
